HAYDON ROY

I am a Singapore based actor with almost two decades of acting and dance performance credits.

 

Originally I began by dancing as the lead in the first stage performance at MacPherson ITE, from there moving to performing in well known Indian groups such as Nickeash Productions, Rameshwara, Sangestraz, Neevraz, Kali Dancers, All Stars and Aerocratz. I have danced in numerous stage numbers in Singapore and Malaysia, completed TV performances for Vasantham and taken part in competitions both televised and on stage. I performed in Singapore's televised national competition Dhool in 2003, 2006 and 2008 on Vasantham, winning in 2008 with Aerocratz. I have performed in many holiday specials on Vasantham, choreographed performances and judged competitions throughout my dance career.

 

My acting career began as a calefare and working behind the screen as crew for Tantra Creations. I was given the opportunity to appear in Planet Galatta in 2006 as a skit actor, where I was featured every week. I then took part in the Vasantham competition Sabash Sariyaana Pothi emerging as 1st Runner Up in Acting, and had a part in the feature film Back Alley Bulls alongside Kumar for an Australian production in 2012. Over the last ten years I have been featured in various Vasantham Central programmes such as Vettai 2.0, Ithu Namma Kathai, Kupz and Chupz, Iyantra, Kaathal Channel, Vizhigal, Patchi Solluthu, Adimai, Vanjam, and Marupadiyum. My biggest acting break came in 2013 with 53 episodes as one of the main leads, Mathi, on the Vasantham prime time drama Vetri.

 

Since 2015 I have been building on my foundation experiences to move into films, drama series and commercials. My commercial opportunities include household names such as Prudential, Mastercard, Facebook, McDonalds, the NEA Clean Green Singapore campaign, Ministry of Education and International Hotel Association. I continue to dance and am always looking for the next project!
